Two shows I am directing are opening the first two weekends of February. "Love Letters" is a veering from from my usual children's theatre directing. This show is the first community theatre production through the City of Dublin at the Dublin Heritage Center's Kolb Sunday School Barn. Ali Lane and Bob Stratton are amazing as Melissa and Andy. Ticket and show information is below.

My children's theatre company's audition group, Upstage will be presenting "13: The Musical" the second weekend of February at Livermore High School. This high-energy show looks at the life of thirteen year olds as they navigate through life. Come along on this exciting journey. See below for more information!

I hope to see you at the shows!

Love Letters

Celebrate Valentine's Day with Love Letters
Attend the first Dublin Community theatrical production with someone special. Love Letters is a compelling story that draws you in, and never lets you go. By the end of the play, you feel as though you know these characters intimately...you share their emotions as they experience them and find yourself rooting for them.

The Actors:

Bob Stratton embraces the rare opportunity to reunite with his friend, Ali Lane, in this roller coaster ride through the life of Andy and Melissa.

Bob has been seen throughout the East Bay in productions such as Guys and Dolls, Man of La Mancha, Ragtime, Annie, Hair, Little House on the Prairie, The Producers, The Wedding Singer, and recently with Ali as her Lackey sidekick, Sheriff Earl, in All Shook Up!

Bob appeared on the stage of the production Aida at the Palace Theater on Broadway in New York…but he had to be forcibly removed because he wasn't really in the show. He hopes you like our story and if you do, he would be glad to come over to your house and read to you some more.

Ali Lane A graduate of UCLA, she was one of the first female mariachi performers in Los Angeles. Additionally she spent several years touring Canada, Mexico and Japan with her own Latin specialty show, Las Gauchas.

Locally, Ali has enjoyed portraying such marvelous women as Liliane La Fleur in Nine (Contra Costa Civic Theater), Emma Goldman in Ragtime (Alameda Civic Light Opera), Tessie Tura in Gypsy (Contra Costa Civic Theater), Mrs. Meers in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Pacific Coast Reperatory Theater) and Mayor Matilda Hyde in All Shook Up (Tri-Valley Repertory Theater) where she had the pleasure of playing opposite her castmate, Bob Stratton.

Directed by Brian Olkowski and produced by Tri-Valley Young Performers Academy.

13 is a grown-up story about growing up!

When his parents get divorced and he's forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done.

The star quarterback is threatening to ruin his life and his only friend, Patrice, won't talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumors.

With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, 13 is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it.
